"Seeing the Forest Again" is a series of 10 graphite and watercolor drawings, transformed into high-quality limited edition prints.
The project explores the fragile bond between humans and the environment, reflecting on the loss of sensory connection and its consequences. Each image captures a tension between destruction and renewal, imagining a world where nature can regenerate.
Layers of color and lines intertwine human shadows with branches, ribcages merging with flames, hands reaching skyward—symbols of loss, yet also of transformation. Fantastical branches emerge as signs of reconstruction, suggesting a future where harmony can be restored.
The title evokes a journey from shadow to light, from chaos to possibility. The forest becomes a place of memory and rebirth, inviting us to see it anew—not just as observers, but as guardians of a living world and creators of new ecosystems of life, memory, and future. Surreal Landscapes is a series of silk pongee scarves created using the batik technique. Each piece is unique and handmade.
The Surreal Landscapes series originates from my exploration of the forest as a physical, conceptual, and relational space—one of the key realms of human imagination and psyche. The forest is a place without limits or borders, where one gets lost to be found, a space of mystery and dreams that must be experienced, not just observed.
This collection of silk scarves, crafted using the batik technique, translates my artistic vision into imaginary, dystopian landscapes. Inspired by medieval herbals, each piece is populated with fantastical plants and leaves, merging natural elements with an invented botanical world. These dreamlike scenes emerge from the silk like nocturnal visions, where floating animals and surreal vegetation create a sense of wonder and transformation. Surreal Landscapes go to the online shop
